About Roberto Cavalli
After graduating from the Florence Art Academy, where he matured a passion for patterns. Roberto Cavalli armed with his entrepreneurial attitude, boundless creativity and imagination, inaugurated the first Tuscan printing works in the seventies.
After having two children, Tommaso and Cristina, from his first marriage, in 1980. Roberto Cavalli tied the knot with Austrian beauty, Eva Duringer. Who also became his business partner. They have three children: Rachele, Daniele and Robert.
Roberto Cavalli enrolled himself to an art institute in his locality in order to concentrate on textile print. As a student, he created a series of floral prints using the knitting technique which caught the attention of key hosiery factories. In early 70s, he developed and patented a ground-breaking procedure of printing on leather. Gradually he began making patchwork patterns from an array of materials.
